Voice of America Learning English

Do you find learning grammar challenging, dry, and lifeless? Can you use what you learn in grammar in your speech and writing?

As an English teacher and linguist for over 25 years, I have heard English learners complain about grammar all the time: “It is difficult and boring.” But It doesn’t have to be that way. There is a free tool that can teach you grammar in a fun and practical way.

I am excited to introduce you to a website where you can learn American English for free: Voice of America Learning English.

There are news videos, podcasts, and resources to learn English, such as English in a Minute, English @ the Movies, Everyday Grammar TV, and Learning English TV. However, the part that I would like to focus on is their Everyday Grammar TV.

Voice of America Everyday Grammar TV

Everyday Grammar TV by Voice of America Learning English offers different topics in grammar every week. The grammar topics are explained in short and fun videos that are easy to understand. Each video is about two minutes long. You can browse through the videos to pick a certain grammar topic that you would like to study.

The best part about this TV is that you can use what you learn right away.

Voice of America in Different Languages

Voice of America is available in different languages all over the world. The website that you will get in your native language will be mainly news, but if you search for more information, you will be able to find English lessons, or you can always use the main website to get to where you want to go.

Every language has grammar rules that connect words, sentences, and paragraphs together in a meaningful way. You may have a strong grammar knowledge but may struggle with putting it into practice.
